Primary Cells

Primary Cells

We offer an extensive portfolio of human primary cells, including some rare types, isolated from various tissues such as solid tissues, peripheral blood, cord blood, and bone marrow. All primary cells are obtained under the highest ethical and legal standards and are sourced from a wide variety of donors (including young, old, male, female,

and individuals from different ethnicities), each with detailed donor specifications.

Following isolation, primary cells from solid tissues are cultured in selective media, and harvested in early passages (P0, P1). PCR testing ensures they are negative for HIV-1, HIV-2, HBV, and HCV. Furthermore, cells are rigorously tested to ensure they are free from mycoplasma, bacterial, or fungal contamination, with thorough monitoring conducted after two weeks of cell culture.

With the capacity to function similarly to in vivo cells, these cells serve as invaluable model systems for drug discovery, toxicity testing, gene therapy, cancer research, and more.

We also provide primary cells from (mobilized) peripheral blood, cord blood, and bone marrow, collected and frozen without prior culture. Furthermore, marker-defined subsets, such as hematopoietic stem cells, progenitor cells, and immune cells are available. These subsets are isolated either by positive selection of the wanted cell population or depletion of the unwanted fraction.

For long-term projects, specific lots of primary cells can be reserved. Custom Cell Isolation services are available for difficult-to-obtain tissues.
