Prolytix
About the Manufacturer
Prolytix is a US protein chemistry and bioanalytical company based in Essex Junction, Vermont. Founded in 1987 as Haematologic Technologies, the company built its reputation over more than three decades on the purification and characterisation of haemostasis proteins and has since grown into a contract research partner for large-molecule biotherapeutics, offering analytical, bioanalytical and GMP testing services alongside its reagent manufacturing. The name Prolytix was adopted in March 2022, when the reagent business and Haemtech Biopharma Services were brought together under one name.
CellSystems distributes the Prolytix reagent portfolio and has been a partner since 2002, listed in the manufacturer’s distributor directory. Every shipment is accompanied by the manufacturer’s lot-specific Certificate of Analysis.
Plasma-derived Coagulation Proteins
Prolytix purifies coagulation factors and related proteins directly from human and animal plasma, including prothrombin, thrombin and other vitamin K-dependent clotting factors. A particular highlight is corn trypsin inhibitor (CTI), a specific inhibitor of Factor XIIa used to block contact activation in coagulation assays and one of the few commercially available preparations of its kind. The range extends further to proteins such as osteocalcin and bovine lactadherin. Browse our Coagulation Proteins and Bone Related Proteins categories for the current selection.
Factor-Deficient Plasmas
Immunodepleted single-factor-deficient plasmas are a core Prolytix competence and a standard tool for clotting assays and factor activity testing. The available range is listed in our Factor Deficient Plasmas category.
Antibodies for Coagulation Research
Prolytix produces monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies against coagulation factors and haemostasis-related targets, raised and validated in-house against its own purified proteins. See our Coagulation Antibodies category.
Fluorogenic Substrates & Inhibitors
For kinetic and activity assays, Prolytix offers fluorogenic substrates and inhibitors matched to its protein portfolio, listed under Fluorogenic Substrates & Inhibitors.
Sample Collection Tubes
The SCAT blood collection tubes are one of the most distinctive parts of the Prolytix catalogue, developed for coagulation research and for sample collection within clinical studies, and built on the same expertise behind reagents such as corn trypsin inhibitor. Prolytix manufactures them to customer specification, with small batch sizes available on request, a flexibility few suppliers in this field offer. All tubes are supplied for research and development use; they are not CE-marked and are not in vitro diagnostic devices. The current formats are listed in our Sample Collection Tubes category.
Why order Prolytix through CellSystems?
Ordering Prolytix through CellSystems means original material sourced directly from the manufacturer, with EU-side import and customs handling taken care of for you, complete lot documentation, and support in English and German. Only part of the Prolytix range is listed online; the full catalogue is available on request via our contact page.
