iPSC-Derived Human Neural Progenitor Cell (NPC) Kit (iPSCs from Fibroblasts, iPSC Line ASE-9209, Caucasian, Female, Age 47, Episomal)
Applied StemCell has developed an efficient integration-free method to differentiate high-quality neural stem cells (NSCs) from human iPSCs. The differentiated NSCs recapitulate the phenotype and functional parameters of primary and in vivo neural stem cells. We provide NSCs differentiated from an integration-free, control human iPSC line (ASE-9209), reprogrammed from the fibroblasts of an Caucasian female donor. These high-purity (≥95%) cells express high levels of the NSC biomarker Nestin (Figure 1). To harness the full potential of our neural stem cells, we also provide optimized NSC Culture Media (ASE-9740MM) that supports robust maintenance and functionality of the NSCs in culture. These iPSC-differentiated NSCs can be used as control lines to compare phenotype and functionality of patient-derived, genome edited iPSC-derived neural stem cells for drug screening applications. These NSCs can also be used as effector cells for cytotoxicity assays.
