Description
The Cytus™ RGB Cell Viability and Nucleus Stain Kit is a comprehensive, three-color fluorescence assay that enables simultaneous visualization of live cells, dead cells, and nuclei. The kit combines Cytus™ Green (Calcein AM), Cytus™ Red (Propidium Iodide), and Cytus™ Blue (Hoechst 33342) to provide a complete picture of cell health and population structure within a single experiment.
Cytus™ Green labels metabolically active cells through esterase-mediated conversion to fluorescent calcein, while Cytus™ Red selectively stains membrane-compromised cells by binding nucleic acids. Cytus™ Blue binds DNA and provides high-contrast nuclear labeling in both live and fixed cells.
Together, these dyes deliver strong signal separation across green, red, and blue channels, enabling robust qualitative imaging and quantitative analysis across microscopy, plate-based assays, and flow cytometry workflows.
