Animal Free (AF) Types AFA, AFB, and AFC collagenases are derived from cultures grown in medium completely devoid of animal-based components and are specifically designed for bioprocessing and tissue dissociation applications where the introduction of potential animal-derived pathogens must be prevented.
Animal Free Collagenase Type A (Code: CLSAFAS) is the original AFA grade, engineered to have collagenase and secondary protease activity comparable to Types 1 and 2 collagenase, making it suitable for a wide range of cell isolation and tissue processing workflows.
Collagenase, Animal Origin-Free (Code: CLSAFAS) is supplied as a lyophilized powder, filtered through a 0.22 micron membrane and lyophilized in vials.
