Lifeline® Normal Human Prostate Epithelial Cells (HPrEC), when grown in ProstaLifeTM Medium, provide an ideal serum-free and retinoic acid-free culture system for the study of the prostate epithelium.
Prostate Epithelial Cells can be used to generate prostate organoids in three-dimensional culture conditions, to provide a normal control in prostate cancer research, to identify prostate cancer biomarketers, and to study hormonal regulation of the prostate epithelium.
Lifeline® Human Prostate Epithelial Cells are cryopreserved after being plated and expanded in culture vessels twice to ensure the highest viability and plating efficiency.
Our HPrEC are quality tested in ProstaLifeTM Medium to ensure optimal serum-free growth over a period of at least 15 population doublings at rates equal to or greater than serum-supplemented media.
Lifeline® Human Prostate Epithelial Cells are not exposed to antimicrobials or phenol red when cultured in ProstaLifeTM medium, an advantage since these supplements can cause cell stress and “masking effects” that may negatively impact experimental results.
