Description
Human Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMC) provide an ideal culture model for the study of immunology, autoimmune disorders, infectious diseases, hematologic malignancies, vaccine development, high throughput screening, and transplant immunology. Human Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells are purified from leukapharesed peripheral blood using density centrifugation.
Human Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells are cryopreserved directly after isolation to ensure optimal phenotype and the highest viability. Our Human Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells are quality tested via flow cytometry to ensure proper expression of multiple markers of various hematopoietic lineage cells.
Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells are tested for:
• Cell Count:
= 25 x 106 cells per vial
• Cell Viability:
Minimum 70% viability when thawed from cryopreservation
• Sterility Testing:
Negative for mycoplasma, bacterial and fungal growth
• Virus Testing:
Negative for HIV-1, HIV-2, HBV, and HCV by PCR
• Flow Cytometry Analysis:
Tested for CD3, CD4, CD8, CD16, CD19, CD56, CD235a
Normal Human Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells have not been exposed to antimicrobials or phenol red. Although antimicrobials are not required for eukaryotic cell proliferation, they are recommended to inhibit potential fungal or bacterial contamination of eukaryotic cell cultures.
